Motherhood through Mozambique’s cyclones

This is a partial series of images of women and small children during Mozambique’s cyclones Idai and Kenneth of 2019. Across the central and northern regions along the coast, torrential rains and strong, gusty winds destroyed homes, hospitals and churches, but during this time women also gave birth, others tended to their children and tried to rebuild what was destroyed.

Part of this work was published by Al Jazeera and the Mail and Guardian.
